Haunted by the brutal death of her sister Ruth, Ella Scott begins to believe that Ruth’s murderer, her boyfriend Ben Forrester, has turned his attention to Ella from behind bars.

When Ella finds a message from Ruth mentioning the pharmaceutical company Muir Pharma, and her friend Laura who works for the company, she realises there may be more to uncover about her sister’s death.

 Her search for answers takes her to Scotland where she becomes caught up in the web of corrupt CEO Sam Renwick. As more truths emerge and Ella’s own life is threatened, she realises that she must stand and fight for justice, not only for herself and her sister, but also for all the other victims.

On her way home to London, Ella Scott receives a cryptic email and a request to meet from her friend Steve. But when he dies on the way to the meeting, Ella feels compelled to investigate.

Following in Steve’s footsteps she begins to realise that he may have reached out to her to warn her of her own father’s connections to the head of a criminal network. He and his friends have become targets.

But Ella’s efforts unwittingly walk her straight into the gang’s clutches and she begins to question the narrative of innocence her father had given her. With the help of Alex Lyle, an undercover officer, Ella must find a way to save her family and finally uncover the truth.
